The Iraqi ministry of oil signed initially an agreement with turkey for 12 years to transport crude oil through the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline.

      The spokesman of the Iraqi ministry of oil Mr. Assem Gihad said that the agreement was signed by the Iraqi deputy minister of oil Mr. Abdulkareem Liaibi representing the Iraqi side, and Mr. Yousif Yizar the Turkish deputy minister for power representing the Turkish side. And he added that it is expected that the final form of the contract will be signed in the next few days between the Iraqi minister of oil and the Turkish minister of power.
